I've spent the past few days holed up here at home, keeping an eye on the news while staying in touch with my loved ones. Judith still isn't replying to my calls, though. If Kiera's to be believed, she's over in that supposedly cursed town. Please, if you're reading this Judith, just let me hear your voice at least once. I just want to be sure you're okay. I never meant for any of this to happen. I just want to know that you're alright and not dead in a ditch somewhere. I... don't know what I'd do if I lost you.
And speaking of Kiera, apparently she isn't held in all that high of regards amongst the police. After hearing Brett's recording, they immediately asked if I had any contact with Kiera. Looks like that one commenter is right. Why the hell do we trust her?

ReplyDeleteLook, I know what it's like to have the life of the woman I love on the line. The one in my life didn't survive. I hope you have better luck than me. One thing that won't help her: Not being ready when she gets back. It's only going to get worse when she does, because then Brett will have another target.
Pull it together you damn kid. Everyone is fighting, everyone is dying, and you at least have the benefit of never having encountered IT first-hand.
Did you get that taser yet? Or any kind of weapon? If you're not ready to fight Brett next time, it's only going to get worse. Because if he DOES find her, and you're not ready to try and protect her? If the police are out of position? You're screwed.
Stop panicking, and start preparing. Plan it out, think about what could happen next, and start getting tools together. It's not over until the final consequence hits, and Judith needs you ready in case something goes wrong. It's not as easy as it sounds, I know. But you HAVE to try.

Has it occurred to you that the police you contacted may be in on the cult's conspiracy, or, at the very least, pawns of it? Probably not, since you are clearly an arrogant fool of the highest order.
